Mark is an expert in lube oil chemistry and application, and currently manages Maersk Line’s lubrication strategy, including product selection and usage guidelines, development of unique products and solutions, environmental compliance, used oil analysis and R&D work.
Mark has a background in oil chemistry and formulation. He is responsible for both the selection of products to be used in the Maersk fleet and providing the crew and shore staff with guidance on best practices for their application. Mark heads Maersk’s used oil analysis program and has worked extensively on the blend-on-board system. He is also involved in the development of several unique products and solutions aimed at maximising efficiency and reliability.
Mark is an active member of the CIMAC Working Group 8 and has a keen interest in reducing the environmental impact of the industry. His current areas of focus include future fuel readiness, emissions and energy efficiency.
