We're searching for a biofuels trader for a local bunker company in Singapore. The incumbent shall play a pivotal role in this mission by facilitating the global trade of sustainable biofuel products.

Role Summary:
As a Biofuels Trader, you will play a key role in the sourcing, marketing, and trading of biofuels across global markets. The position demands strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of biofuels market dynamics, and the ability to manage trading risks effectively. You will build and maintain relationships with counterparties, monitor market trends, and maximize profitability while ensuring compliance with sustainability and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Trading and Market Operations:

Trade biofuels (e.g., biodiesel, ethanol, renewable diesel) and related commodities in regional and international markets.
Develop and execute trading strategies to optimize portfolio performance.
Monitor supply chain logistics to ensure timely delivery of contracts.

2. Market Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze market trends, price movements, and geopolitical factors affecting the biofuels industry.
Develop insights on supply-demand balances and emerging opportunities in sustainable energy.
Prepare regular performance and market analysis reports for stakeholders.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with key counterparties, suppliers, and customers globally.
Negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring favorable terms while mitigating risks.
Coordinate with internal teams (operations, legal, finance) to ensure smooth trade execution.

4. Compliance and Sustainability:

Ensure trading activities align with regulatory requirements and sustainability standards (e.g., ISCC certification).
Stay updated on policy developments influencing biofuels and renewable energy markets.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Energy Studies, or a related field.
Proven experience in commodities or energy trading, preferably within the biofuels sector.
In-depth knowledge of biofuels markets, trading platforms, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a proactive attitude toward managing risks.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and make quick, data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in trading tools and software, including risk management platforms.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
Team player with strong collaboration skills.
Highly motivated and adaptable to changing market dynamics.

Compensation structure:

Fixed Salary and commission/profit sharing
