Business Development & Commercial Manager - Energy

About the Team
The Data Center Development team leads the charge on site selection, acquisition, and project delivery. The team is also responsible for in-depth analysis and strategic partnerships, particularly in energy — spanning both conventional and renewable sources — and land development.

Key Responsibilities – Energy Business Development & Commercial Manager

In this role, you will:

• Conduct thorough due diligence and maintain an up-to-date inventory of the energy landscape across the APAC region, including grid systems, generation capabilities, and decarbonization efforts.

• Co-develop the data center site selection strategy with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Collaborate with regional public policy teams to build strong relationships with energy regulators.

• Lead and grow strategic partnerships with government bodies, utility providers, consultants, and developers.

• Take ownership of energy-related deals and agreements, from negotiation to execution.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or an Engineering discipline.

• Solid understanding of the energy industry, particularly in power and renewable markets.

• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

• Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice.

• Relevant experience in the energy space, with a proven ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

• Strong multitasking capabilities and adaptability.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a similar role within the energy sector.
