This role calls for deep technical knowledge of marine systems, solid leadership skills, and hands-on experience in ship design and construction standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications and coordinate technical clarifications with commercial and design teams.

  • Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan (PEP), including schedules, budgets, and resourcing strategies.

  • Lead internal coordination meetings and external client engagements to keep stakeholders aligned.

  • Conduct project kickoff meetings to resolve outstanding issues and confirm the execution strategy.

  • Work closely with engineering and design teams on technical deliverables; raise Technical Query Requests (TQRs) when clarity is needed.

  • Submit Clarification Requests (CRs) for site-related issues and coordinate with the commercial team to formalise scope changes or additional works.

  • Plan and oversee manpower deployment in collaboration with operations teams.

  • Lead the on-site project team, resolve worksite issues promptly, and foster team collaboration.

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and clients.

  • Coordinate with the QA team for inspections, reports, and compliance documentation.

  • Participate in ship inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as needed.

  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm technical specifications and delivery timelines.

  • Attend client meetings to resolve technical and operational matters.

  • Ensure before-and-after documentation (e.g., site photos) is systematically stored in the project folder.

  • Manage project close-out activities, including final documentation submission and client satisfaction handover.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in marine engineering, ship design, or offshore project management.

  • Deep understanding of vessel detail design, including structural, piping, HVAC, electrical, and outfitting systems.

  • Proficient in CAD/CAM tools and familiar with AI-based design software and production drawing workflows.

  • Solid knowledge of marine classification societies, statutory requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Skilled in project scheduling, cost control, and execution oversight.

  • Independent, proactive, and solution-driven.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, particularly with cross-disciplinary engineering teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
